Coverage Area
Updated: March 2008 Our service signal now covers large parts of Plainfield, East Montpelier, Marshfield, and Calais. More repeating stations for these towns are planned for this year. We also expect to add service in Middlesex, Worcester, and other neighboring towns, this year. As we expand, we’ll continually upgrade our currently covered areas to reach more residents.
Due to the nature of building a rural broadband network, installations tend to progress slowly. However, we do expect to have large numbers of subscribers installed month-by-month, all year round. Registered individuals will be contacted as soon we are able to schedule an installation. There are already hundreds on our list, so don’t delay! Register here. If you live outside the current coverage area, you can still register—this will be help us determine where to focus our future expansion efforts.
This Plainfield Base Station Coverage Map provides a basic outline of our initial coverage area. More precise service determinations are made when the installation team reaches your neighborhood and performs a signal test. Please keep in mind that every location in Vermont is unique, and some sites are blocked by terrain (Our signals require a nearly direct line of sight from broadcaster to receiver). Therefore we can’t make any service guarantees in advance.
This map only shows our initial (2006) coverage area; extended coverage is now available. Look for an updated coverage map soon.
